We are very pleased to announce the winners of the 2020 8SW Composer Competition. First Place: Minato Sakamoto (Japan; Duke University, USA) for Rondo Americano. We are very much looking forward to premiering Rondo Americano on November 20th at the Tenri Cultural Institute in New York City. Second Place: Daniel Toledo (Cuba; Hochschule für katholische Kirchenmusik & Musikpädagogik, Germany) for Y el ángel tocó la primera trompeta. Third Place: Marius Díaz (Cuba; Universidad Pedagógica Nacional de Colombia) for El Viejo y el Mar. Chamber music is alive and well! Thank you to all for your submissions.
