I promised myself I was going to write a blog every Friday. Well Friday came and went and no blog! Only week 2 in and I am already off schedule.
So today’s blog is very short, as I have a big pile of music on my stand. One of the piece in that pile is Mark Winges’s Sweet Dance Suite, Unfurnished, which we will bring to the stage in the Fall. A super cool piece with lots and lots of intricate rhythms to subdivide! It is full of Mark’s tricks and humor. More about it soon, but for now, I have to go back to work and learn to count all those tricky little 3/16 bars!!
